About the Wine

Tenuta Tre Gemme sits in Abruzzo's Terra dei Vestini, one of the DOC's most prestigious sub-zones—halfway between the Adriatic coast and Mount Gran Sasso at 350 to 450 meters elevation.

Founded in the 1960s by Rocco Perrucci, the estate was revitalized by his daughters, Carla and Anna, in 2020.

Today it's one of the largest private wineries in Abruzzo, entirely certified organic.

This Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo comes from a single south-facing parcel planted in 2000, 100% massal selection Montepulciano.

Cerasuolo is Abruzzo's claim to serious rosato—fuller-bodied than Provencal pinks, built for the table, with the grip and structure to age.

The 2025 is wonderfully perfumed with rose petals, wild strawberries and blueberries with nuances of wet concrete after a spring rain. Seamless, soft textures host vibrant wild berry fruits and a core of zesty acidity.

The finish is clean, mineral and energetic, carried by persistent acidity and impressive lift. Ian D'Agata scored it 95 points, calling out its "almost crystalline transparency.

Tasting Notes

100% Montepulciano, vinified as rosé with roughly twelve hours of skin contact at 6°C.

Bright, luminous cherry red — far deeper than a Provençal rosé. Persistent red fruit on the nose: cherry, wild strawberry, a little pomegranate.

Dry and mouth-filling, with fresh acidity and a faint mineral bite from the pebbly soil. Serve at 50–54°F.
