About the Wine

Renascenzia means rebirth, and the sisters didn't pick the word lightly.

Their father Rocco sold his wine in bulk out of Catignano through the 1960s — no label, no name, no argument about quality because nobody ever knew whose it was.

Carla and Anna Perrucci took the estate over, rebuilt the cellar, and put this bottle at the top of the range. It comes off their oldest white vines, between twenty-five and thirty-five years, at 450 metres on pebbled limestone.

And it's the only white on the estate that gets any real élevage: fermented in stainless, then split between French oak barriques and clay amphora before bottling. The oak gives it weight, the amphora keeps it honest.

The result is golden in the glass and genuinely layered — passion fruit and dried apricot, white flowers, bergamot, and a bread-crust note underneath from the time in wood.

It's fresh rather than fat, with the acidity to carry a real meal. Treat it like a white Burgundy, not a summer white.

Tasting Notes

Estate white blend from Colline Pescaresi, off vines aged twenty-five to thirty-five years at 450 metres.

Golden yellow. Passion fruit, dried apricot and white flowers, with bergamot and a warm bread-crust note behind them.

Fresh and velvety on the palate, with live acidity pushing ripe fruit through to a clean citrus finish. Fermented in steel, aged in French oak barriques and amphora. Serve at 50–54°F.
