About the Wine

La Bollina Winery is located in Serravalle Scrivia AL, Italy. A municipality in the province of Alessandria in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 62 miles southeast of Turin and about 16 miles southeast of Alessandria.

This historical territory, which specializes in DOCD Gavi, was for centuries the residence of the Marchioness Figari of Genova. A 120 ha winery, surrounded by hills and chestnut forests is the location where magnificent wines are made.

Besides having 28 ha of cultivated vineyards, an excellent and well-equipped cellar, in La Bollina you can find luxury accommodation for guests: An “Art Nouveau” style villa, a modern 4-star hotel and a 9-hole golf course that expands throughout the vineyards.

The Bollina winery is completely renovated and has some of the most advanced techniques, systems and instruments in modern winemaking.

Andrea Bernardini is a passionate consultant winemaker who has hit numerous home runs. He graduated from Pisa, one of the best schools of oenology in Italy, in 2007. He earned his chops at Poggio Bonelli and Ruffino in Tuscany and trained in South Africa, Romania and Greece. After several years of experiences, he is now a flying winemaker blending tradition and modern techniques to obtain high-quality wines with respect to the expression of the different grapes and terroir in which he works.

For this rosé wine, the grapes are softly pressed as a white and fermented to a temperature of 10 to 12°C for about 14 days. Aged in steel, on the yeast with battonage at low temperature, to maintain freshness and give structure and balance.

Tasting Notes

100% Nebbiolo. This wine's bright salmon color catches the eye. The aroma bursts with floral notes, cherry, and strawberry. On the palate, it's balanced, fresh, and delightfully fruity. Perfect for appetizers, starters, and fish dishes.
