When it comes to high-quality, top Chianti Classico, Tenuta Orsumella is at the top of its game. This beautiful 200-acre family-owned winery is run by the 3rd generation of the Menichetti family, a charming Italian family that is completely committed to producing high-quality wines. They take care of every aspect of the game, from the vineyard (which is managed under sustainable and organic practices, and BIO certified since 2018,) they handpick and carefully select all the grapes. Tenuta Orsumella Chianti Classico is one of our best-value Chianti's ever. This wine has amazing quality and is at an amazing price. The perfect daily drinker.
Aging: 10 months in French Oak Barrels.
Tasting Notes: 100% Sangiovese. Elegant with distinctive aromas of red berries, blackberry, and violet notes. The aging in oak barrels adds complexity to the wine, as well as subtle vanilla notes. The taste has a broad and tangy character and confirms the aromatic balance that is revealed by the nose. The perfect combination of vibrant acidity with soft tannins grants the wine an amazing structure.
