About the Wine
Armando Parusso is one of the iconoclast producers of Langhe Nebbiolo and the pride in his wines is best exhibited in his own words. "The passion for authentic tastes and the appreciation of good and genuine things are fundamental in our lifestyle. The search for delicate, fine flavors has been a constant factor from the time we decided to begin this work. We are happy to share our experience with you."
New leather, smoke, black cherries and plums all meld together in Parusso's 2011 Barolo Le Coste. In this vintage, Le Coste seems to have handled the heat better than the Mariondino, as it has the broad shoulders and structural frame to hold the pure volume and resonance of the fruit. Mocha, French oak and spices flesh out on the racy finish. It will be interesting to taste the 2011 with a bit more time in bottle. 93VM
